Life in Hai · Body in Hai
Twelve palaces read anticlockwise from the Life Palace, which is shaded. 身 marks the Body Palace. Large characters are the fourteen major stars; small are the assistants — the lucky eight in grey, the six malefics (擎羊, 陀羅, 火星, 鈴星, 地空, 地劫) in red.
The ages in each corner are its decade limit (大限): ten years a palace, counted from 6 in nominal years and running against them, Life to Siblings for a man born in a yin year. Age 48 now falls in Wealth, outlined; this year's palace (流年) is Health.
The birth year's four transformations
| 武曲 WuQu | 化祿 prosperity | General: money handled firmly; decisiveness, solitude. |
| 貪狼 TanLang | 化權 power | Wolf: appetite of every kind; talent, excess, longevity. |
| 天梁 TianLiang | 化科 recognition | Elder: protection, rescue, the authority that survives trouble. |
| 文曲 WenQu | 化忌 trouble | Artistic: eloquence, the arts, charm of expression. |
Set by the year stem 己: the four stars that carry prosperity, power, recognition and trouble through this chart.
This year's four transformations · 2026 丙午
| 天同 TianTong | 化祿 prosperity | in the 兄弟 Siblings palace |
| 天機 TianJi | 化權 power | in the 田宅 Property palace |
| 文昌 WenChang | 化科 recognition | in the 兄弟 Siblings palace |
| 廉貞 LianZhen | 化忌 trouble | in the 財帛 Wealth palace |
流年四化: the stem of the current year, 丙, lays a second set of transformations over the chart, marked 年 in the grid. Where this year's 化忌 falls is where the year bites; where its 化祿 falls, where it gives.
