Saturday: Saturn, in the house of Extremity
Born on a Saturday, your planet is Saturn — endurance and hardship — and its animal the Naga, whose corner of the pagoda faces south-west. In this chart it stands in Atun, the house of Extremity: all or nothing: the make-or-break house, with a serious illness or accident early in life likely.
One of the three liability houses, which the tradition reads as the work of the life rather than a sentence.
How the chart was built
Burmese year 1348 (1987 less 639, the year turning at Thingyan in mid-April), divided by seven leaves 4, which puts Mercury in the first house; the others follow in the fixed cycle Sun, Mercury, Saturn, Mars, Venus, Moon, Jupiter.
Mahabote uses no sky: the weekday and the year are the whole of it, which is why it needs no birth time beyond noon on a Wednesday. The seven houses, in order, are Impermanence, Extremity, Fame, Wealth, Kingly position, Sickly and Leader; the shaded three are the liability houses.
The seven houses
| 1 | Binga Impermanence | Mercury | what does not hold still: health and wealth that fluctuate, nerves, the mother and the home |
| 2 | Atun Extremity | Saturn — your birth planet | all or nothing: the make-or-break house, with a serious illness or accident early in life likely |
| 3 | Yaza Fame | Mars | how the world knows you: self-made, courageous, ambitious |
| 4 | Adipati Wealth | Venus | what makes you content: respected, generous, often devout |
| 5 | Marana Kingly position | Moon | what you set out to accomplish: sharp, persuasive, able to rise high |
| 6 | Thike Sickly | Jupiter | the hardest house: a steady, persistent difficulty of body, mind or heart |
| 7 | Puti Leader | Sun | talent and motivation: the articulate one who may head a business or a government |
