Aspects: the lines in the middle

Video pending. This lesson's script and on-screen cues are ready for the render.

You will learn

  • Read the five major aspects
  • Understand orbs
  • Stop fearing squares

Transcript

The lines inside your wheel are aspects: angles between planets. Hover one. A dark line is a hard aspect, a square or an opposition: two planets at cross purposes. A grey line is a trine or sextile: two planets that get along. A conjunction, two planets in the same place, does not get a line because they are already touching. The number in the tooltip is the orb, how far from exact the angle is. Half a degree runs your life; six degrees is background. And please stop fearing squares. Hard aspects are where your energy comes from. A chart with only easy aspects belongs to someone comfortable and not much else.
