Booking, Cancellation and Refund Policy

Booking

You book a consultation by choosing a time the astrologer has made available and paying at that point. The slot is held for you once payment succeeds, and both you and the astrologer receive a confirmation by email.

The consultation is a contract between you and that astrologer. We provide the booking and payment mechanism.

Price and fees

The astrologer sets the price, which is shown before you pay. We charge the astrologer a platform fee of 15% of that price, which covers payment processing and the platform. You are not charged anything on top of the displayed price.

If you cancel

• More than 24 hours before the session: full refund.
• Within 24 hours: the astrologer may keep the fee, because the time was reserved for you. Many will offer to move the session instead; ask them.
• If you do not attend: treated as a cancellation within 24 hours.

If the astrologer cancels

You receive a full refund, or a new time if you prefer. If an astrologer repeatedly cancels we may remove them from the directory.

If something goes wrong

If the session did not take place, the astrologer did not appear, or what happened was materially different from what was described, write to hello@asktheplanets.app within 14 days. We will look at both sides and may refund the payment and recover the amount from the astrologer.

We do not arbitrate disagreements about whether a reading was accurate or satisfying. Astrology is interpretation and there is no measurable standard to judge it against.

Statutory rights

Where you have a legal right to cancel a service booked at a distance, that right applies and is not reduced by this policy. In the UK and EU, a service that has been fully performed with your agreement during the cancellation period is no longer refundable on that basis.

How refunds are made

Refunds go back to the card used, through Stripe, usually within five to ten business days.

For astrologers

Payouts are made by Stripe to the account you connected, on Stripe's normal schedule. A refund reverses the payment, and the platform fee is reversed with it. Repeated cancellations, no-shows or disputes may end your listing.
