Why we ask for your birth time
The sky turns one degree every four minutes; the rising sign and houses depend on the minute.
What changes with the minute
Planets in signs are almost always right with only a date; the Moon can shift sign on some days. The Ascendant and all twelve houses move a degree every four minutes.
If you do not know it
Use noon and treat the houses and rising sign as approximate; the app marks them. A birth certificate is the best source; family memory is second best; a hospital record can sometimes be requested.
